Marc Ruxin

Marc Ruxin is the CEO of Mixhalo, the real-time audio platform delivering a high-quality, immersive experience for venues and event organizers. He is an accomplished entrepreneur, media executive and serial advisor and investor.

Prior to joining Mixhalo, Marc was the COO/CMO of Rdio (acq. By Pandora), where he oversaw marketing, revenue, and corporate development. He joined Rdio by way of his discovery company, TastemakerX, where he was founder and CEO. Marc was also the chief innovation officer at Universal McCann/McCann Erikson/IPG, where he oversaw $4B in media spend and strategic marketing investment. Before that, he was chief operating officer of The Mill Group, the leader in commercial visual effects, and Beam.tv, the leading advertising digital asset management system.

For 25 years, Marc has been leading media and media technology companies into the digital future as an operator, investor, board member and advisor. Marc is currently an advisor to Pax, Zeguro, LoanSnap, Wish and Lyte, and has been an EIR at Storm Ventures and Obvious Ventures. He has independently advised over 30 technology software and hardware companies that have cumulatively sold for $3B (Blue Kai, Kosmix, Curse, GreyStripe, Meebo, etc.).

Marc sits on boards of numerous internet and technology startups in Silicon Valley, as well as the BoD of the San Francisco Film Society. He holds a BA from Hamilton College and an MBA from Columbia Business School, and lives in San Francisco with his wife and three children.
