James DeJulio is the Co-Founder and CEO of Tongal. James oversees creative development, partnerships and also focuses on building and mentoring Tongal’s community. At Tongal, James helps brands embrace open innovation to incorporate diverse, global perspectives into the creative process. James believes brilliant people are everywhere and that by empowering them with opportunities to use their talent, we can help the world discover its creative potential. James oversaw content strategy and ideation for Samsung-Disney “Star Wars” collaboration, Universal’s Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary and 20th Century Fox’s Alien 40th Anniversary, as well as National Geographic’s first late-night show, and SYFY’s Fan Creator Initiative. These companies turn to Tongal because they believe in its “by the fans, for the fans” philosophy and that the future of film and TV lies with the fans who are watching. In addition to entertainment, James spearheaded Macy’s first ever Style Crew digital ambassador program, which produces fun, shoppable Instagram videos to sell beyond the walls of retail. His work has led to collaborations with other major brands and retailers.
