Director/Producer David Jay Willis is the first person in the U.S. to successfully raise money through Equity Crowdfunding to make a feature-length narrative film. Despite having no social media presence, no marketing or crowdfunding experience, and no stars attached, he started with $2,000 for expenses and turned it into $1 million by the end of the campaign. The movie that resulted, the delightful family comedy “I’ll Be Next Door for Christmas,” was released worldwide in December of 2018, and is available now on iTunes and Amazon. David is an in-demand speaker at film festivals and Equity Crowdfunding events, including Canon USA, The Valley Film Festival, Digital Hollywood, Crowd Invest Summit, Dayton Film Commission, and The Founder's Summit. In addition, his methods are being taught in entertainment law classes at UCLA and the University of Florida.
