Joseph Epstein is an award-winning digital marketing executive with a track record of building globally-recognized ‘big idea’ digital campaigns for brands and entertainment franchises. His career includes leadership roles at movie studios, marketing agencies, digital content creators and media publishers.

Currently, Joe oversees all marketing a Machinima, the iconic gaming entertainment company within WarnerMedia. Recruited by the company CEO as part of the organization’s turnaround, Joe helped grow Machinima’s viewership by 2x and launched Machinima onto multiple video platforms including Facebook Watch, Twitch (24/7 partner), Verizon go90, Amazon Video Direct, Sony Playstation Vue, Comcast Watchable, Sohu (China), AMC (Spain, Portugal, Mexico) and Sky Q (UK). And under Joe’s leadership, Machinima more than double their ‘win’ rate with brand partners from 2015 to 2017

Prior to Machinima, Joe oversaw the development and launch of more than 100 theatrical film campaigns at while 20th Century Fox (SVP, leading the department) and Sony Pictures (VP, reporting to the President of Worldwide Digital Marketing), including multiple installments of the Spider-Man, X-Men and James Bond franchises. As a long time digital marketer (leadership roles at Razorfish, Digital Broadcast Group, DNA Studio) he was overseen work for established brands as Reuters, JP Morgan, Charles Schwab, Coca-Cola, and Unilever.

An excellent communicator, problem solver and team leader, Joe is a creative risk-taker and innovator, with have a sleeves-up attitude and passion for impacting business. He combines core business strategy, content and product development and innovative marketing outreach (social, mobile, media, etc.) and his work has earned many accolades including four Clio Entertainment Awards and the Grand Prize of Excellence from Media Week. Additionally, Joe has published extensively as a staff writer at SmartMoney.com, (helping launch the service in 1996) and has spoken at numerous industry conference and events including SXSW, Ad Tech, Brand Innovators and Digital Hollywood.

He received a BA in Organizational Communications from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
