WELCOME TO THE 2018 DEW STARTUP COMPETITION

Over the past 6 years, DEW has awarded over $1,000,000 in prizes and provided invaluable exposure to startups throughout the world. The competition involves a highly competitive process where startups are screened and vetted by a panel of A-list investors who review applications online and select the best of the best to compete on stage at DEW before DEW attendees from leading entertainment, media and tech companies. The 2018 competition will consist of two categories of startups (described below) and two winners will be recognized.

Uru
Uru automatically generates robust data blueprints of inputted videos: their objects and themes, their brand safety level —even the best moments and spaces inside them for brands to occupy. Tap this data through our various APIs, activating it any way you like. Or let our pre-built apps help you. No matter the use case, Uru provides the building blocks for better brand experiences on video. We use AI to deeply understand videos and other visual content online and then let brands target it based on its level of brand safety and brand alignment.
