INTRO
Greg Silverman (born August 18, 1972) is an American film executive, producer, and the CEO and founder of Stampede Ventures. Silverman was most notably the President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production at Warner Bros. Pictures., where he supervised worldwide box office hits such as THE DARK KNIGHT, THE HANGOVER, 300, INCEPTION, GRAVITY and THE LEGO MOVIE.

EARLY​ ​LIFE​ ​and​ ​EDUCATION
Silverman was born in Pretoria, South Africa and grew up in San Diego, California. He was educated at La Jolla Country Day School and the San Diego Jewish Academy, before graduating from Stanford University in 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Stanford's Silicon Valley location helped kickstart his track record as a technology and angel Investor.

CAREER
Silverman began his career in film by working in craft services on the independent film, TWO GUYS TALKIN' ABOUT GIRLS. He then became an assistant at Tri-Star and Mandeville Films before joining Mad Chance as a production executive, where he worked on 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU. Silverman initially joined Warner Bros. in 1997 as a junior production executive, where he worked on such films as THE MATRIX, A PERFECT MURDER, and CATS AND DOGS. Silverman then joined Revolution Studios as Senior Vice President, Production, overseeing AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS, THE ONE, and THE NEW GUY before returning to Warner Bros. Pictures in 2002 as Vice President, Production. He was promoted to Senior Vice President, Production in 2004 and then to Executive Vice President, Production in 2007. He has overseen production on such projects as THE DUKES OF HAZZARD, THE LAKE HOUSE, THE BUCKET LIST, BEERFEST, BATMAN BEGINS, TROY, GET SMART and YES MAN. As the Executive Vice President, Creative Development and Production, Silverman oversaw the enormously successful and critically acclaimed 300, THE DARK KNIGHT, THE HANGOVER, INCEPTION and many more. As President of Warner Bros, Silverman was responsible for such box office hits as THE HANGOVER, THE DARK KNIGHT, GRAVITY, BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, SUICIDE SQUAD, THE LEGO MOVIE, SULLY, THE ACCOUNTANT, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, WONDER WOMAN, Christopher Nolan's DUNKIRK and Steven Spielberg's READY PLAYER ONE.
